After the Strongest Storm in Jamaica’s History, We’re Still Here — But We Need Your Help to Stay
On October 28, 2025, Hurricane Melissa made landfall in southwestern Jamaica as a Category 5 hurricane — the strongest storm ever recorded to hit the nation.
People will talk about “252 miles per hour,” a staggering figure pulled from a high-altitude reading. But no exaggeration is needed. The truth is devastating enough.
Melissa’s terror wasn’t just in its strength — it was in its slow, punishing pace.
The storm didn’t freeze in place. But it moved slowly enough that the eyewall hovered over western Jamaica for hours. The wind didn’t pass. It stayed. The rain didn’t stop. It pounded. To survivors, Melissa felt endless.
And in many ways, it still is.
Long After the Winds Died Down, the Crisis Rages On

Today, the roads are gone. Power is out. Water systems are broken. Communication lines are severed. Logistics across the island were distorted overnight.
In the aftermath, we are faced with the most urgent, human truth: you can’t rebuild on an empty stomach.
That’s why Ground Force Humanitarian Aid immediately deployed and has remained on the ground, working hand-in-hand with:
- The Jamaica Defence Force (JDF)
- Operation BBQ Relief
- Mercury One
- And local leaders in St. James Parish and Montego Bay
Together, we have fed hundreds of thousands of Jamaican citizens. And we’re still going — but only if we can keep funding this effort.
Today: Meals Are Being Delivered Across St. James Parish

It’s Wednesday, December 17th. Right now, our teams are working side by side with the JDF, offloading Operation BBQ Relief meals and Mercury One meal boxes. These aren’t just meals — they are survival.
They are fuel for:
- Elderly Jamaicans who can’t leave their homes
- Children and families sleeping in shelters or damaged homes
- Volunteers and workers clearing roads, repairing roofs, and distributing supplies
We’ve been here since day one. We’ve trained and managed local volunteers, set up SAFE Camp, and launched our Community Caretaking teams. But none of it happens without you.
A Christmas Gift That Keeps Giving

This Christmas season, we’re asking for one thing: don’t let this be the end of our efforts in Jamaica.
Without immediate donations, we will have to shut down critical operations. The need is too great to walk away.
🔗 DONATE NOW — even $25 helps us serve another family.
Every dollar keeps this mission alive. Every meal tells a family they haven’t been forgotten.
We believe in showing up, staying longer, and making sure no one is left behind.
Let’s finish the year by standing with Jamaica — and staying until recovery is real.
