Texas Hill Country Flood Response 2025
Impact Report: Texas Hill Country Flood Response 2025
When disaster strikes, we respond—swiftly, compassionately, and with the full force of community behind us.
In July 2025, devastating flash floods swept through Kerrville and surrounding counties in the Texas Hill Country. In the dark early hours, water levels rose with unimaginable speed, taking the lives of at least 135 people and displacing hundreds more. Amid this heartbreak, Ground Force Humanitarian Aid was on the ground within hours—mobilizing aid, restoring hope, and rebuilding lives.
Mission Accomplished: What We Did
- 🚚 $8,000 in Equipment Delivered
We provided critical supplies and tools to support immediate recovery operations, addressing unmet needs that local systems couldn’t reach fast enough. - 🛠️ 7 Properties Cleared of Heavy Debris
Our teams braved dangerous conditions to remove massive debris piles, allowing search and rescue teams to continue their lifesaving work. - 📸 Visual Storytelling That Drove National Awareness
Through our powerful social media and storytelling arm, we elevated the voices of survivors:- A multi-generational family who lost the home where memories of weddings, holidays, and everyday life were made.
- A father and son who lost their businesses—one a legacy, the other a livelihood.
- Families who survived against the odds but lost everything else.
- ❤️ Belongings Reunited, Memories Preserved
In a flood, a single photo or keepsake becomes priceless. We helped return precious items to families, restoring what mattered most to their hearts.

Innovation in Action: Our Technology Saves Time and Lives
Our response wasn’t just boots on the ground—it was data in motion.
Through Stability.org, GFHA coordinated with dozens of local groups and spontaneous volunteers, turning chaos into organized care:
- Volunteers registered through Stability and tracked over hundreds of hours of on-the-ground service.
- The platform ensured that every donation of time and resources went to the right place, at the right moment.
- It allowed our remote team to monitor needs in real-time and deploy teams with precision.
This is the future of disaster response—and it’s happening now.
Moving Forward: The Need Has Never Been Greater
We are now in the midst of hurricane season, and the stakes couldn’t be higher. The floods in Kerrville are a stark reminder of how quickly disaster can strike—and how vital it is to be prepared.
